We’re pleased to share that truffle forays with Umami Truffle Dogs was recommended in a recent post on USA Today Travel!
The article lists five options for travel that include spending time with “furry” animals in some way, from ice fishing with sled dogs to wine tours on horseback to, wait for it… private forays with truffle dogs! We’re one of two US destinations mentioned and we are honored to be included.
One of the options was bee keeping in Slovenia. Bees are sort of fuzzy, but not really furry. While we certainly love bees and their honey (especially truffle infused honey) we tend to prefer petting our truly furry companions and working with them in the temperate and misty Oregon forests we call home. Oh, and about that delicious truffle infused honey? We’ll even teach you how to make it with your very own freshly foraged truffles!
Plan a part of your vacation time next winter with us. You can learn more about our private truffle forays here. As always, you can contact us using the form on this page for more information.
